Hallowe’en Is Not Cancelled

SAN JOSE, CA (September 28, 2020)— Winchester Mystery House announced today an all new evening experience that explores the legendary estate’s supernatural lore for the autumn season.  The Hallowe’en Flashlight Tour is a self-guided re-imagining of the estate’s popular flashlight tour with a new terrifying twist.  For the first time ever guests – with only a flashlight to guide them – will roam alone through the dark halls of the purportedly haunted Victorian mansion while hearing tales of its former and (possibly current!) inhabitants. Tour Hosts will be stationed throughout the house to ensure safety and social distancing.

Tours will be offered on select nights in October. Tickets (From $24.99-$54.99) for timed-entry admission, allowing for social distancing, are available now at winchestermysteryhouse.com.

“Halloween is not just a time of year or a season but a state of mind.  One that can never be cancelled.  And this year, we are inviting guests to celebrate it at Winchester Mystery House in a way never before possible – alone by flashlight and without a tour guide,” said Walter Magnuson, Winchester Mystery House General Manager. “We’ve gone back to basics – using the house as the star.  The unsettling feeling of being alone in a darkened Victorian home, the fear of what could be around the next dark corner will set this year’s Halloween program apart from previous years.  We are so excited to be able to keep our annual tradition of offering a quality Halloween experience but in a safe and compliant way.”

The Winchester Mystery House will also be offering daytime self guided mansion and garden tours throughout the month of October complimented with autumn décor around the estate, making it a must do this fall.  Guests interested in exploring from home a can also purchase the 360 Immersive Tour for $8.99 and the video tour for rent for $5.99 or to purchase for $13.99 online at winchestermysteryhouse.com/video-tour/.
