WINCHESTER MYSTERY HOUSE TO DISPLAY RARE BLOUSE BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN OWNED BY SARAH WINCHESTER

Historic Garment on Loan from The Campbell Museums to Debut During The Winchester Mystery House’s 103rd Anniversary Celebration.

SAN JOSE (June 15, 2026)—Winchester Mystery House announced today that it will soon welcome a remarkable piece of Sarah Winchester history: an intricately crafted blouse believed to have belonged to Sarah Winchester herself. The historic garment is being loaned to Winchester Mystery House by The Campbell Museums and will be on display at the legendary mansion for a limited time beginning on the estate’s 103rd anniversary celebration on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

The blouse, which features exquisite period detailing and craftsmanship, offers a rare glimpse into the
personal life of the enigmatic heiress whose vision shaped one of Americas most fascinating historic landmarks. The garment is believed to have been gifted by Sarah to Minnie Yeager Hall to play dress-up when she was a child. The Yeager family owned a ranch on nearby Moorpark Avenue, just around the corner from the home of Sarah Winchester.

“We are honored to partner with The Campbell Museums to share this remarkable artifact with our guests,” said Walter Magnuson, Executive Director of Winchester Mystery House. Objects directly connected to Sarah Winchester are exceedingly rare, and this blouse provides an intimate window into her life beyond the legends and mysteries that have captivated visitors for more than a century.

Upon its arrival, the blouse will be carefully preserved in a climate-controlled display case featuring UV protection and around-the-clock security before being placed on public view in Sarah Winchester’s bedroom. The artifact will offer visitors a rare opportunity to connect with the life and legacy of the woman who called Winchester Mystery House home.
