It’s that time of year again, when the autumn winds swirl and the Winchester Mystery House is transformed into the world’s best Halloween time destination. This year, there’s more to do than ever!
UNHINGED – an all new immersive horror experience debuts on September 6th and runs for 28 select night through November 2nd. Fans of the Halloween Candlelight Tours and Flashlight Tours will be thrilled with the new show! It takes all the scariest elements of a traditional halloween haunt, mashed up with an immersive theatrical show, all set during a nighttime tour in the world’s most famous haunted home. Brave visitors will be invited in by the home’s “residents”….but will they let you leave? Come enjoy this one of kind Halloween experience. Tickets start at only $44 and are available now!
Speaking of one of kind experiences, guests of Unhinged will be enthralled by the new 3D Projection Mapped Light show – Unhinged After Dark. It is said that the Winchester estate was built by fear, and the light show uses the homes unique architecture to bring the house alive like never before. The show runs only on Unhinged nights, so check the calendar for details.
When we first saw Christine McConnell’s Netflix Show, we thought maybe she would be interested in visiting our humble abode. We never in our wildest dreams could imagine that she would agree to build us a massive, edible and one of a kind gingerbread replica of the house – including the 7th story tower that fell in the 1906 earthquake! Her creation is incredible (and mostly edible) and we’re so happy to be able to showcase it in our Mercantile from September 6th – November 2nd during operating hours. Best of all – she’s agreed to come to our opening night of Unhinged September 6th to reveal her creation and meet fans. For families with young children or fans that can’t make the evening show, she’ll return on Saturday September 7th from 10 – noon for a free meet & greet.
We’ve also got something special for families too! Join us on October 26 and 27 from noon to 4 pm for the Winchester Mystery House Trick or Treat Trail, We are so proud to produce one of the biggest trick or treat trails in the Bay Area, with fun stops all around the Victorian Gardens, games, activities, fall food and more! Bring the whole family in costume for what is now becoming a San Jose tradition!
Last, but certainly not least, we’re bringing back our very popular and very exclusive, Sarah’s Spirited Supper on October 19th from 6:40 pm – 11 pm. This ultimate Halloween dinner will take place in the Grand Ballroom. Guests will start the evening with the Unhinged show, and afterwards be greeted by a “resident” that will whisk them into the ballroom for a 4 course halloween themed dinner.
