Once inside, enjoy the freedom to roam the path at your own pace—giving you the chance to linger in each room to uncover its secrets. This includes venturing into areas that are off-limits on the Mansion Tour, offering access to more spaces where guests and mediums have reported paranormal activity. The Flashlight Tour is a self-guided evening tour that allows brave guests to guide themselves through the dark halls of the mansion while hearing tales of the home’s haunted history… in the dark and alone with just a flashlight.
A: The Flashlight Tour is a self-guided evening tour that allows brave guests to explore the dark halls of the mansion with a flashlight. It is a rare chance to see one of the world’s most alleged haunted mansions at night!
A: This is a self guided tour, you’ll move in a linear one way path through the house. Winchester Mystery House staff will be available for questions and assistance along the tour route.
A: Yes, participants must be 5 years or older to join the Flashlight Tours.
A: You’re welcome to bring your own paranormal investigation equipment provided that it is handheld and will not cause any damage to the house or disruption to tours.
A: No, a flashlight will be provided for you. You are welcome to bring your own if you would like.
A: This is a self guided tour. The group you come with will be the group you travel through the house with.
A: Unfortunately, due to the historical nature of the Winchester Mystery House, the Flashlight Tours are not wheelchair accessible.
A: Yes! Photos and videos are allowed during Flashlight Tours, but please remember to turn off your flash. We also ask that you’re mindful of others—don’t block walkways or stay in one area too long, as it may prevent other guests from enjoying that part of the tour. Our guides may kindly ask you to move along if needed.
