Celebration of Life Events

On September 5, 2022, exactly 100 years since Sarah Winchester—heiress to the Winchester Repeating Arms fortune—passed away at home in her bizarrely beautiful mansion, Winchester Mystery House will welcome guests to a Celebration of Life for Sarah Winchester. Daily Tours open at 10 a.m. and all ticketed guests will receive a commemorative cabinet card and will be encouraged to leave flowers, cards, photos, and mementos in the front gardens that day. (Note: No open flames are allowed). You will need to purchase either a Daily Estate tour, Walk with Spirits tour, or Garden tour ticket to enter the property this day.

Behind the Veil with James Van Praagh

Sarah Pardee Winchester passed away peacefully in her bedroom at 10:45 pm on September 5th, 1922. 100 years later, when the veil between this world and the next is thinnest, renowned medium James Van Praagh returns to the Winchester Mystery House. On this hallowed occasion, twenty five special guests will join James as he walks the halls of Sarah’s home and attempts to connect with Sarah and the spirits that still call the Winchester Estate home.

Armed with many years of family research, notes, and memoirs Dacre Stoker will share the secrets of how this famous tale transformed in page from novel to stage, then to film, captivating the world, and mesmerizing audiences for all eternity.
